Starting Our Game

I have learned that the different colors are going to be hard to match and make it look good. Once I started on my first scene I realized that it was going to be hard. I also asked my friend if he liked the colors I used, he said that it really didn't match. We are doing our game on football and fractions the colors are blue and purple. Your opponents colors are orange, and black. I also noticed that fractions and football are going to be hard to put together in a game, because football doesn't really use much fractions. We also have a lot of coding in our game.

Our Paper Prototype

The paper prototype has helped me think a lot about what we are going to do with our game. It has also helped me think about certain ideas that will make our game fun and learning. When we started out we thought it was going to be easy to make a game about football, but it is challenging. If it wasn't for the paper prototype I don't know what our game would look like. I will put the video when we get done.

How we've done

I am Billy Waldron and my partner is Chelsey Coleman. Our team name is "The West Virginia Rednecks." We are doing our game on percents. Percent is like when you go shopping you have to add taxes on whatever you buy. Our Genre is sports or action and our topic is math. Our class is in the stem community knowledge. We do not have a title for our game right yet but we are on it. We are doing our game on percents and the theme is going to be football and cheerleading. At the begining of our game you can pick if you want a cheerleader or a football player. That is how far we have gotten on our game so far!

One thing that I am excited about is working with flash again, and maybe winning the stem games compotition.

About The Minigame I Made

I play games in my free time sometimes, most of them are action games. I like these games because they give you an adreline rush sometimes. Games like racing because you get faster and pass people. This topic really got me back in the grove of coding and flash, but it really didn't give me a new perspective about games. It really wasn't really exciting and fun with learning

Our Topic

Hello my name is Billy. We have choosen to make our game about math. So my partner and I had thought about using the order of operations. Like please excuse my dear aunt sally method. We have also thought about using fractions, and cross multiplying. We choose these topics because they are some important things you need through out life.

The Review

The genre that I am most interested in using is sports. There was learning and alot of fun in the game gravetee. You can use sports because there is a lot of people that like sports. I would play the game because I love sports. We could maybe make a super hero that is attracted to the wrong answer. The player has to help him with his problem, and cure him at the end. Maybe we could add a bonus game at the end.

Back to School

I would like to get deeper in to flash and learn more about the codes. I expect for this year to be a little bit easier on us because we know more about flash. For a math problem we where thinking about using decimal fractions. Hopefully we do good this year to. Its going to be hard to get back in the grove. Ready for the new year!
